My mom is having surgery on her hands so she can use them better.

She had really bad Carpal Tunnel and her surgeon who did the original surgery had bandaged her arms too tight. My mom didn't know since she was out most of the time and on pain killers. This caused it so she has poor use of her tendons.

I will be helping her for the next 5 days, making sure she doesn't lift anything over 5lbs or overwork herself.

I have my fingers crossed and I hope everything goes well. This new surgeon seems to be personally determined to fix her. She showed him her art she did a long time ago that she no longer can do.

My mom is my Idol and my mentor when it comes to art. She has done such beautiful painting, sculptures, drawings, poems. When she lost the ability to use her hands it almost felt like she lost part of herself. I have secretly seen sketches and things she's tried to do and the frustration I feel off of them when looking at them make me so sad. She can hardly hold a pencil. I just want to see her be able to give the world her art again. Her creativity.

My new job is going steady and I really enjoy everyone I work with We are getting busier so I am getting even more hours

We are branching out from Embroidery and will be doing things like custom mugs, promotional items, sandblasting, and more. I can't wait!


The people I work with are helping me get my dolls under way and going like a real company.
However I have a setback with my Anwen dolls.
They won't be sent to me til September OTL.

SO she will not be a summer strawberry release like I wanted, she will have to be either a fall or Halloween release. Anyone have a good resin color they would like to see her in besides normal?

I will be getting my Succubus doll done and sent off to a different person who does casting, I have my fingers crossed this goes better (Which it should )

My doggy recently had surgery, she's all better now (Anus gland got swollen and while waiting for the vets to fix it it ruptured )

So that is my life so far, if anyone reads or cares lol. Mostly this is why I havn't updated with drawings or anything. Truthfully I rather be sculpting.

Its part time right now but in two weeks will get full time/or if it gets busier soon. I get twice the amount in one week then in two. I mainly manage orders for an Embroidery company, that also does things like Stickers, mugs, keychains, etc as well. Today was my first day, I was rather sleepy but when orders came in I was right on em After tomorrow I will be by myself though XD

I got to feed/pet all the horses XD The one missing its eye is named Salty- he was a rescue and had lost his eye while trying to escape from previous owners and gashed it open on barbed wire. He's sweet and fat now XD

SO i am addicted to Needle Felting. However halfway into my recent project I broke my needles I did order more- but this project will have to wait til then. I've learned a valuable lesson though!

Lately I've not been getting enough sleep however I -can't- sleep. Its not really insomnia because I do sleep at some point and I haven't done an all nighter- but its just a strain on me lately. However I have gotten more stuff done this past week then I have this past month lol.

My nephew's birthday is on the 18th- I've planned a Baby Simba cake that will use the Wilton's 3D teddy bear cake pans to use SO EXCITED TO TRY!!! Most of the details will have to be fondant/rice crispy (Like the ears..cus I have to cut the teddy bears off lol) so I'll post pictures once that's done!

Moved into our new appartment. Still need to finish unpacking my art stuff but it already feels so much more like home then the other apartment I was in.

Working has gotten a lot easier. I've applied for their jewlery position (help stop theives in that department, help people with their jewlery projects, etc.) so I got my fingers crossed for that. Won't hear about it til prob next week since we just recently got inventory.

I made an awesome cake for a friends  birthday, it was harley themed. I had about 2 hours to make it so the fondant didn't want to work with me (of course!)

I move on Friday. A much smaller place but I can actually afford it! Money will be a tinsy bit tight so I will be raising my Chibi prices to $10 (Those who have already inquired about a chibi your prices will stay the same) Things are looking up lately, I just hope it stays that way lol~

I got my internet going! Yay! That's some good news, right?

However right now I'm in a serious financial situation. My trust fund with my godfather has run out and I'm not making enough money to live where I am right now. My husband has been trying to find work for 2 years now and has been unable to find anything. I was only able to get a job with Michael's arts and crafts because I pretty much begged the Cake decorating instructor to put in a good word for me. I'm working only part time and they keep cutting everyone's hours and hiring more people because corporate doesn't want to pay so much for the insurance plan (which is complete crap anyway). I've applied to other stores (like Hobby Lobby) and what-not to see if I can get a second job. Nothing so far.
I don't mind having to move to a cheaper place, but I barely make 600 a month even if I'm lucky and the lowest place I have found so far is 700 for a 1 bedroom (I live in a 2 atm for about 875) and that's not including utilities.
I'm going to try to open my Phantom Carnival Fairy Kei line and see where that goes. I've been re-working my dolls as well and making new ones to try and see if I can get somewhere with that too.

Does anyone know of anyplace online maybe that I can get a -paid- artist job with?  I am not willing to work for too cheap however I will put my heart and soul into it. Its becoming a really hard time right now...
